ROAD CLOSURE ALERT FOR 4/17/2024-4/18/2024
W. Brown St. will be closed between Main St. and High St. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 and Thursday, April 18, 2024 between the hours of 7AM-12PM for ongoing renovations to the Perry County Courthouse.
Please use an alternate route during this time.

Effective 04/01/2024, the Village Administration lobby will no longer be open 24 hours. New lobby hours are 8AM-4PM Monday-Friday. For non-emergency calls after hours, you may call (740) 342-4123 for Police and (740) 343-4681 for Fire/EMS. If you are experiencing an emergency after hours, please call 911.

The New Lexington Building Trades class of Coleman McCoy has been hard at work constructing a new shelter house at the New Lexington Reservoir. We are excited for this great addition to our beautiful reservoir and we’re thankful to have students from the New Lexington Workforce Development Center working hard to help make this happen!

Village Mourns the Passing of Long-Term Community Servant

By order of Mayor Thompson, The flag at City Hall will be flown at half-staff in honor of the passing of Jeff Danison, a dedicated member of our Village Council.
As a community servant and past firefighter, Jeff served our town with unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment. His contributions to our town were invaluable, and his loss will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of working with him.
At this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Jeff’s family and friends. We extend our deepest condolences to them and offer our support in any way needed as they navigate through this challenging period of grief and loss.
The Village of New Lexington remains grateful for Jeff’s service and mourns the loss of a beloved member of our community.
