PRECAUTIONARY BOIL ADVISORY: If you live in the area of Maple Heights and you lost water pressure during the waterline repair last night, it's advised that you boil your water for 24 hours.

The Public Service Department is currently making repairs to the main water line in the village. Residents may experience low water pressure during this time. We hope to have the issue resolved soon. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATE: As of 10:30AM, the leak has been repaired and the road has been re-opened.
There is a road closure in the area of State St. and Swigart St. as the Public Service Department works to repair a water line. Please use caution in this area and be prepared to use an alternate route.

ATTENTION NEW LEXINGTON RESIDENTS:
Due to reports of discolored water in certain areas of our water system, we are issuing a precautionary boil advisory. As there is no evidence at this time that the water system is contaminated, this is NOT mandatory; it is a proactive measure to ensure your safety.
We are actively working to resolve the issue and will keep you updated with any further developments.

Due to inclement weather, the Village Administration office will be closed today.

Due to inclement weather, the Village Council meeting scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.

Please be advised that the sidewalk along the bridge on E. Water St. will be closed indefinitely due to needed repairs/maintenance.
Pedestrians are encouraged to use caution when walking along the road in this area.

The traffic light is still out at the intersection of Main St. and Brown St. Please use caution as crews will be working to hopefully have the issue resolved by the end of the day

Don't forget! Tonight is the annual Homecoming Parade in New Lexington. The parade steps off promptly at 6:00 p.m. from St. Rose and will end at Jim Rockwell Stadium where the Panthers will take on the Colts.

There will be NO PARKING on E. Water St. on 10/9/24 as crews will begin grading the street in preparation for paving.


W. Brown St. from Main St. to the alley will be closed October 7th, 8th, 10th, and 11th due to ongoing renovations to the Perry County Courthouse.
Please use an alternate route on these days.

The precautionary boil advisory that was issued on 9/5/24 has expired

BOIL ADVISORY - PRECAUTIONARY Issued: September 5, 2024 6:20AM Area: Carroll St., Lincoln Park Drive, Lincoln St., and E. Broadway The New Lexington Water Department is advising Water Customers in the areas listed above that until further notice, vigorously boil, for at least one minute, any water used for drinking (including water used to make ice), cooking or oral hygiene. The New Lexington water system has no evidence at this time that the water system is contaminated. The possibility does exist however that the water system is contaminated and is issuing this advisory as a precaution. The water department is collecting additional samples and hopes to have this problem corrected soon. An additional notice will be given when the boil advisory is lifted.
