BOIL ADVISORY – PRECAUTIONARY

The water line involved in the break this morning has been repaired.
The New Lexington Water Department is advising Water Customers that until further notice, vigorously boil, for at least one minute, any water used for drinking (including water used to make ice), cooking or oral hygiene.
The New Lexington water system has no evidence at this time that the water system is contaminated. The possibility does exist however that the water system is contaminated and is issuing this advisory as a precaution. The water department is collecting additional samples and hopes to have this problem corrected soon. An additional notice will be given when the boil advisory is lifted.
