The 46th Annual MacGahan Festival will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024. The event will begin at 11AM with a memorial service at the New Lexington Cemetery at 440 Swigart St. From there, the placing of flowers ceremony will be held at the MacGahan statue across from the courthouse located at 105 N. Main St. Once the flower ceremony is over, there will be a picnic luncheon at the Perry County District Library at 117 S. Jackson St. The conclusion of the festival held at the library will include readings of student-winning essays from Perry County and their partner school in Bulgaria, as well as MacGahan trivia and door prizes.
